Want to use your bike for transport all year round, but are put off by the weather at this time of year? Capital of Cycling can help with this FREE webinar
Are you a bit wary of cycling in winter? Not sure where to start when it comes to cycle commuting? Or maybe you’ve got a bike in your shed that could save you money, get you fitter and less stressed? We can help!
This short webinar will answer questions such as “How do I keep warm?” “How do I deal with the weather? “How do I know bike is road worthy?” “What should I wear?” “How do I keep myself and my bike safe?” “How do I carry my stuff?” and several other questions.
Co-hosted by Capital of Cycling and the Margaret Carey Foundation, a partnership between two community cycling/bike linked charities based in and around the city of Bradford, with funding from CityConnect, this workshop aims to take the guess-work out of active travel in the winter months.
Panellists include Aggie Maxwell, outreach officer for Capital of Cycling and Director and rider for Cargodale, e-cargobike delivery; Emily Connor, Project Officer and Bike Mechanic with Capital of Cycling and Darren Reed, Project Officer and Bike Mechanic with the Margaret Carey Foundation.
After a short presentation from the panellists, there will be plenty of time to ask all those burning questions. You’ll go away ready to hop on two-wheels and pedal to wherever you need to go!
