The National Careers Service is working in partnership with West Yorkshire Police to support their recruitment of Police Community Support Officers. This role is exciting and varied. PCSO’s are often the first contact that people have with the police, providing a visible and reassuring presence and building relationships between the community and the police. They are actively looking at the transferable skills that may come from working in other sectors such as hospitality, security or retail for example which applicants could bring to the role. PCSO work can vary from issuing fixed penalty notices to detaining someone until a police officer arrives.
They are running a ZOOM Online Careers Workshop focussing on supporting those wanting to find out more and learn more about the application process
