The Community Council has the same powers as a parish council. Parish Councils make all kinds of decisions on issues that affect the local community. Probably the most common issues that our Community Council get involved with are planning issues, fly tipping and cleaner/greener issues and crime prevention. Our Community Council is not political and is one of the only Parish Councils in the country that does not charge a precept.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A PARISH COUNCILLOR AND HELP TO MAKE THE PARISH OF BRADFORD TRIDENT COMMUNITY COUNCIL A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE?

There are currently 3 vacancies on Bradford Trident Community Council because the term of office of the councillors has come to an end.  These vacancies have been caused because of an insufficient number of people from the parish standing for election.

The council can now fill the vacancies by co-option, which is a process whereby the council considers applications from interested persons and can then select people to fill the seats.

If you are interested in becoming a parish councillor, please write to the parish council and include a few details of why you would like to become a councillor together with the skills and experience that you have for the role.

If you need any information about qualification for being a councillor or just want more information about the role, please contact Mohammed Rafiq, Clerk to the Council, preferably by e-mail at Bradford.tridentcc@gmail.com
